About
I am Aarya Tilara, a high school student deeply passionate about healthcare, particularly in the field of pulmonary medicine. My goal is to contribute to advancing treatments for respiratory conditions like asthma through research and innovation. Through volunteering in healthcare settings and conducting independent research projects, including my work on nanomedicine-based therapies for asthma, I have developed a strong foundation in both patient care and scientific investigation. I am committed to combining curiosity, problem-solving, and compassion to improve respiratory health and make a meaningful impact in medicine.Projects

Advancing Asthma Therapy: Innovative Strategies in Nanomedicine
Started June 16, 2025
Abstract or project description
This project aims to develop a review paper exploring innovative nanomedicine-based therapeutic strategies for asthma, a chronic and often treatment-resistant respiratory condition. It will begin by examining the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying asthma, including airway inflammation, mucus overproduction, and structural changes in the lungs. The paper will review current treatment approaches, such as inhaled corticosteroids and bronchodilators, analyzing their effectiveness and limitations. It will then explore emerging nanomedicine-based therapies, including lipid-based carriers and inorganic nanostructures, with a particular focus on polymeric nanoparticles. These technologies enable targeted drug delivery, reduce side effects, and address gaps in existing treatments. Overall, this review seeks to provide a comprehensive understanding of how nanomedicine can enhance asthma management and guide future therapeutic development.
