What are the key genetic and cellular differences between apoptosis and necrosis?

Started June 3, 2023

Abstract or project description

My research project aims to investigate the key genetic and cellular differences between apoptosis, a form of programmed cell death, and necrosis, a process typically associated with cellular damage and dysfunction. Apoptosis is characterized by a controlled sequence of events that causes programmed cell death. On the other hand, necrosis is typically a result of cellular injury, leading to unintentional cell death. This research project aims to uncover the fundamental differences between apoptosis and necrosis by analyzing their distinct genetic characteristics and cellular markers. Understanding these processes' distinct mechanisms is important, as they both play essential roles in various conditions. By comparing the differences between apoptosis and necrosis, my research project aims to contribute to the existing knowledge and provide insight into their unique features and aspects. This research project will extensively review current research on apoptosis and necrosis to establish a strong foundation. This review will include a range of molecular biology, genetics, and cell biology studies, involving a careful examination of research articles and scientific papers. The aim is to gather comprehensive information on the genetic and cellular mechanisms underlying apoptosis and necrosis. In conclusion, this research project seeks to contribute to the field by comprehensively analyzing the genetic and cellular distinctions between apoptosis and necrosis. This research project aims to educate people on the distinctive differences between both processes by highlighting the unique features and aspects of apoptosis and necrosis.
