PolyPilot is an interactive research guide, designed to help you understand the research process, and provide a roadmap to a unique project outcome.

How does a project with PolyPilot compare to a Polygence Core Project?
Core projects can target outcomes like prototypes, GitHubs, models and podcasts (in addition to research papers), while PolyPilot only supports literature review research papers at this time. The depth of research also differs for Polygence Core and PolyPilot projects. Core projects include extensive discourse with an expert mentor over the course of 10 hour-long live sessions. If you’re unsure of which program best suits your needs, we encourage you to register for Polygence at https://app.polygence.org/user/register so you can speak with our Associate Director of Admissions to discuss both programs.
What is the tuition?
PolyPilot is a free tool, available in Beta to anyone who registers with a Polygence account.
Will I get access to a mentor?
PolyPilot is a free, AI-powered research tool, not a mentored research program. To work with a Polygence mentor, we recommend enrolling in Core or Pods.
How do I interact with PolyPilot?
Students are encouraged to chat with PolyPilot as you would a knowledgeable friend. PolyPilot will respond similarly to chat-based AI tools.
What is the process to begin my project once I sign up?
You can sign up for a free PolyPilot account, and begin using the interactive research guide immediately. PolyPilot will get to know you, help you land on a project idea and even help you create a project plan.
Will the AI do my work for me?
Not at all, PolyPilot will not do your work for you. While PolyPilot can help you find sources and help you stay on track, you’ll be the one reading your sources, building an understanding, coming to conclusions and writing your paper.
Will my final paper be publishable?
PolyPilot is a free tool and therefore is not as in-depth as a mentored reserach project. We recommend that the end goal of PolyPilot projects be building your research skills and sharing your work online, as opposed to publishing.
How long do I have to complete my project?
Most PolyPilot projects are completed in 3-6 months. Your PolyPilot access will remain open for 6 months from your project start date, giving you plenty of time to complete your project.
Are there any limits for how much I can interact with PolyPilot?
You can access your PolyPilot chat guidance any time, from anywhere and as often as you like for 6 months.
What if I don't finish my project after 6 months?
If you believe you won't finish your project within 6 months, reach out to [email protected], and we can extend your trial. Any workspace that isn't active that reaches the 6-month mark with no notification to extend will be deleted.
