Bio
Hi! I'm Kelly Rappuchi, a passionate scholar, writer, researcher, and editor in the areas of business, domestic and foreign affairs, women's leadership, and the social sectors. I received a B.A. from UPenn and a Master's from Harvard, where I conducted qualitative research related to women, psychology, leadership, sociology, the arts, and literature. I was a teaching assistant there for courses in government and communications. I like to collaborate with mentees by "thinking forward" about their intriguing ideas and turning them into compelling research. My first job was in human rights and I got to travel around the world ... so I love and value a global mindset. A memorable personal experience was teaching leadership to women in Pakistan. A labor of love was co-founding a digital publication on defense, diplomacy, and development. I am a flutist (classical and improvisational) and one of my hobbies has been training horses in the sport of eventing. I also love yoga, outdoor adventures, nature, and eating.Project ideas
Using gender analytics to explore women's leadership, diplomacy, or social issues
We can draw on my expertise in gender equity, global development, and women's leadership challenges to identify a specific research question using brainstorming and design thinking tools, and then apply gender analytics tools and conduct interviews to report relevant findings. Student outcomes: Research paper, article, white paper, or model (Advanced Research)
Creativity and generative-AI
This project would compare creative output between human-generated, AI-generated, and human-AI partnering and then analyze the outcomes. The creative input from the human user can be poetry, lyrics, stories, or articles. Student outcomes: Paper or article, best practices/guidelines for prompting, publishable essay on the experience (Beginner Research)
Women and/or minorities in finance: opportunities and growth
This project would research the current state of women and/or minorities as finance consumers from the perspective of opportunity. For example: How can businesses capitalize on the needs of this market? How might they adapt? What businesses are leading the way already and what can be learned from them? Where are they falling short? Student outcomes: White paper or article featuring business case(s), case study (Advanced Research)
