Bio
Jessica Saifee graduated from University of Colorado School of Medicine with an MD. She will be starting her residency in Internal Medicine-Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. She was a U.S. State Department Critical Language Scholar in Lucknow, India and Fulbright grantee in Khorog, Tajikistan. Before matriculating to medical school, she worked on research projects based in Bangladesh at Boston Children's Hospital. She is passionate about refugee health and co-authored the Afghan Refugee Health Profile that will be published by the CDC in the upcoming months.Project ideas

Refugee health during the COVID-19 pandemic
The COVID-19 pandemic changed the lives of people around the world and negatively impacted several underserved groups. This project will look at the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on healthcare delivery for young adults identifying as refugees and/or immigrants. It will examine the health impacts of the pandemic on children and adolescent-both immigrants and refugees- in the United States and other countries.
