Hello, my name is Catarina and I am currently a Clinical Psychology Ph.D. Student at Duke University. My main interests are in exploring novel predictors of suicidal thoughts and behaviors but am more generally interested in mental health etiology and outcomes. Outside of academics, I enjoy reading, binging the latest, greatest tv series, and hanging out with friends.Project ideas

The History of Mental Health Diagnoses
In this project, you will write a paper on how the field of mental health was established and how it developed and changed throughout the years. This will help you dive deep into the history of diagnoses and have a better understanding of how we diagnose currently. Additionally, it will help you critically analyze whether there are ways we can improve upon our current definitions/diagnostic criteria.
