Bio
I'm a Harvard-Trained Specialist in Computational Science and AI Innovation, and a former Fulbright Scholar, with extensive experience in tech startups and academic research. My research focuses on developing new therapies for diseases, clean energy solutions, and advanced computational methods. I'm passionate about translating complex scientific concepts into practical applications, having developed apps powered by Large Language Models and contributed scientifically to different areas of computing including AI and quantum computing. I've co-founded four startups—two BioTech companies, a LegalTech company, and an EdTech company—all leveraging AI and computational tools. As a mentor for two years, I've guided around 40 students through their research and publication process. Beyond research, I enjoy science communication, writing, photography, cooking, and hiking. Experience: • xAI (Musk’s AI startup) – AI tutor • Alux Biotechnologies (BioTech startup) - co-founder and CEO • Skills.tech (EdTech startup) – Former co-founder and Chief AI Officer • E-Sentience (BioTech startup) – Former co-founder and CEO Education and Training: • Boston University – MBA • Harvard University – Research Fellow • UC Berkeley – Computing Innovation Fellow/Postdoctoral Scholar • Duke University – PhD in Chemistry and MS in Electrical & Computer EngineeringProject ideas
Engineering drugs for Alzheimer's
You will learn how to go through the drug design process and propose drugs that could be effective to treat Alzheimer's. You will summarize your findings in a research paper.
Develop your own chatbot that responds to scientific questions
You will use programming to develop a chatbot that can answer you random facts about science so you can learn with the chatbot how things work. The final deliverable will be a jupyter notebook with code that can later be integrated to a website.
Create your own Pokédex: Using deep neural networks to identify animal species
This project involves creating an animal species recognition system using deep neural networks. Similar to a Pokédex, this system will identify animal species from images and provide relevant information. You'll collect a dataset, develop a deep learning model, design a user interface, and deploy the system for practical use. By the end, you'll have a working tool for species identification, gaining valuable experience in machine learning and computer vision. Basic proficiency in Python and some understanding of web or app development are prerequisites for this project. Join us in building a practical animal identification system inspired by the Pokédex.
Quantum-Accelerated Molecular Simulations
You’ll learn to implement Variational Quantum Eigensolver (VQE) algorithms for small molecules using Qiskit or Cirq. Compare quantum-based energy estimates to classical DFT results. Summarize your findings in a Jupyter notebook with code, plots, and a discussion of performance trade-offs.
