Bio

Hi! I completed my bachelor's degree in mathematics with a minor in computer science at the University of South Carolina Beaufort. I then graduated from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health with my masters degree in Epidemiology with a focus in Infectious Disease. I recently earned my second MS degree in Biostatistics at Boston University. My previous research areas have been on mathematical modeling of disease dynamics and I am also interested in modeling global infectious diseases that primarily affect vulnerable populations. I'm looking forward to working with you and hearing your wonderful ideas!

Project ideas

Project ideas are meant to help inspire student thinking about their own project. Students are in the driver seat of their research and are free to use any or none of the ideas shared by their mentors.

Game Time!

Through Greenfoot, create a game with a topic and theme of your choice that conveys a story that can be used to educate others. Some previous coding experience is preferred but it does not to have to be with Greenfoot specifically. We will be able to publish the game on Greenfoot upon project completion.

Data Modeling

Applicable to many topics and fields, learn how to use statistical models to predict trends, observe patterns, and and make data-driven decisions. Explore possible projects using regression modeling to analyze relationships between variables, assess risk, forecast outcomes, and support strategic planning in areas like healthcare, marketing, economics, social sciences, and more.

Coding skills

Matlab, R, Java, C++, STATA, mySQL, NetBeans, Visual Studio, Greenfoot, Git

Teaching experience

I have tutored students in mathematics at the high school and college levels including geometry, algebra, precalculus, probability and statistics, trigonometry, calculus 1, calculus 2, and business calculus.
