Bio

I am currently a Ph.D. student in Computer Science at the University of Connecticut. I am doing research related to Machine Learning in Finance. In the past, I have worked with computer vision projects ranging from object detection, recognition to image/video super-resolution; in the past few years, I also worked on NLP-related projects. Before becoming a computer science student, I majored in mathematics and worked on signal processing and steganography projects. As of 2021, I am also a Data Scientist for an Insurance and Financial company focusing on generative AI products. In this project, you will learn fundamental machine learning methods ranging from Decision Trees, Random Forests, Support Vector Machines, to Recurrent Neural Networks to model and forecast financial data. Machine Learning in Computer Vision: Object recognition, Detection and Image super-resolution

In this project, you will survey and learn about the current state-of-the-art machine learning methods in Computer Vision. The outcomes of the project: -Collect and preprocess the customized dataset. -Train customized dataset with the current state-of-the-art methods. -Finetune and modify model to push the results performance. -Create Github Repo to summarize the project. -Write up a research paper.

Analyzing Social Media using NLP

In this project, you will learn how to collect or analyze public social media data, and use NLP method to classify the behaviors and understand the topic in-depth.
