Bio

I'm a product leader with experience building some of the most complex and successful software products. I have spent my career working for AWS, Microsoft, Salesforce, Sun Microsystems and Netscape. I have expertise in developing product vision, and strategies for pricing, monetization, go-to-market and growth. I have led technical designs and software development, and built platforms and partner ecosystems. I am Indian Institute of Technology (IIT),Delhi graduate and SCPM from Stanford University. I'm passionate about mentoring and coaching. In the past I have mentored multiple colleagues, students and young kids. I've a strong belief that every single individual has huge potential. I also believe that growth mindset, as well as big, clear and strategic thinking can be cultivated at any age. It gives me enormous joy when I'm able to help someone unlock his/her potential with usually a small yet meaningful guidance provided at the right time in right spirits and tone. Personally, I'm a space enthusiast, problem solver and an eternally optimist entrepreneur. I run a couple of my own businesses and love reading about space. I'm obsessed with finding simple solutions for complex problems and building products/experience that are easy to use.

Product management 101

Learn product management fundamentals and industry best practices, especially in the software industry. Learn how to identify customer requirements, define MVP and create a roadmap that delights your customers, build strategies for monetization, go-to-market, and growth. Also, build an understanding of what success for your product looks like and how/what data to use to understand the state of your business at any point in time.

Create an app that helps people cherish moments beyond regular photos and videos

In this project, learn how to design and develop an app that helps people cherish moments beyond regular photos and videos. You will get hands on experience and guidance on how to design the app, use some of the cloud software products to deploy the app, and how to design user experience (UI/cmdline). You will use your coding skills to develop the app. At the end, we will publish the app on the app store.

By profession, I'm a product leader, software engineer, and an entrepreneur (https://www.linkedin.com/in/tanumutreja/). I'm an active mentor at Salesforce, Grace Hopper and and IPMA (Inclusive Product Management Accelerator). I have been mentoring and coaching budding leaders and my peers for many years. I have a strong belief that every human has enormous potential that can be unlocked with a small amount of right guidance. In my free time, I volunteer for opportunities that build entrepreneurship from an early age. Not only do these volunteering opportunities give me joy, but it they also let me see the world from a totally new and often different angle.
