Bio
I am a biomedical scientist with 15+ years of experience in life science research published 150+ international scientific research articles, presented in 50+ conferences and 100+ students from high school level to PhD level. My objective is to utilize my inherent attitude, aptitude and skills in an environment that promotes continual upgrading of knowledge and building new opportunities in life science and to create platforms for younger generation to grow in science and research. My research focus is on tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, immunology, biomaterials, omics and molecular biology of various diseases including heart attacks, musculoskeletal disorders, neurological disorders and infections. Additionally, my lab focuses on bioengineering injectable tissues to regenerate/restore tissues including heart. I worked with several students and all of them were benefitted with atlease one research publication, multiple competitions/conferences presentations and won several awards. I have 15+ years of research experience and I am more passionate to train my students based on my expertise, experiences, lessions learned from failures and insights that I gained as a scientist. I am more passationate to train and educate school/college kids in research and I believe that my success will be scored based on the success of my students. On the other hand, I love philosophy, music, movies, travel and cooking. The cool thing about me is I am cool always....Project ideas
Regenerative medicine - Concept note/Perspective review/scientific manuscript preparation
The cells involved in tissue pathology/repair/regeneration communicate by releasing their contents to the injury site by the exocytosis of micro/nano-vesicular exosomes. The exosome mediated communication among the surviving cells triggers the healing responses. You will develop a strong foundation regarding the cutting edge research that concomitantly investigates the exosome biology and its regenerative potential for the management of diseases. You will be introduced to a new world of biological vesicles contained with a battery of regenerative mediators which have immense therapeutic potential. Also, you will be motivated to be a next generation scientist. Overall, goal is to publish a peer reviewed article and presentations in international conferences.
Tissue Engineering - Concept note/Perspective review/scientific manuscript preparation
We will be exploring several hydrogels as delivery vehicles for cells and signaling mediators for cardiac regeneration. Together we will learn the physiochemical properties of tissue engineering hydrogels to obtain tunable properties and biocompatibity for developing artificial heart tissue. In this project, we will employ multi-disciplinary approaches by integrating the principles of biology, chemistry, engineering, biomaterials and medicine for developing artficial haert tissue constructs. You will be introduced to the emerging avenues in next-gen therapeutics including engineered tissues. Also, you will be motivated to be a next generation scientist. Overall, goal is to publish a peer reviewed article and presentations in international conferences.
