Expertise

US Legal History, American History, Chinese History

Bio

I have an expertise both history and legal research. My legal concentration includes tax law and general business and finance law. I have also worked with students on a variety of law related topics like criminal justice reform and civil rights. I have studied both American History and Chinese History. The range of topics I studied in American History include identity, US legal history, labor history, civil rights, culture wars, eugenics, and critical race theory. In Chinese History I studied student and labor movements in the 20th century like the Democracy Wall Movement, Hong Kong Student Movements, and the Tiananmen Protests. Some topics I worked with students include the women's sufferage movement, the AIDS epidemic, AAPI advocacy, language education, etc

Project ideas

Project ideas are meant to help inspire student thinking about their own project. Students are in the driver seat of their research and are free to use any or none of the ideas shared by their mentors.

Public Humanities

If you're interested in not only learning more about a topic, but also raising greater awareness about it, we can think of ways to create an engaging project! Some ideas include creating an interactive webpage with all types of information, a documentary, or a series of video clips.

US Legal 101

Want to understand the US legal system better and help other students to do the same? Create a interactive website that discusses current events and the legal context behind it.
