Bio

I am a medical student at Stanford University School of Medicine with extensive wet-lab and clinical research experience in gene editing and immunology. My work focuses on understanding how targeted therapies function within high immune states and how these states can be modulated to improve patient outcomes. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, playing board games, and watching basketball!

Project ideas

Project ideas are meant to help inspire student thinking about their own project. Students are in the driver seat of their research and are free to use any or none of the ideas shared by their mentors.

Understanding Skin Cancer Mortality in the US

You will use publicly available dermatology data to investigate relationships between skin health and factors such as age, lifestyle, environment, or overall health. For example, you might examine how sun exposure or sleep habits are associated with conditions like acne, eczema, or psoriasis. You will analyze the data, create graphs to visualize your findings, and write a paper describing your methods, results, and their significance in dermatology research. This project will help you develop skills in data analysis using tools such as Excel or R while learning about skin biology, dermatological conditions, and how researchers study factors that affect skin health.
