Bio
Hi there! My name is Ali and I recently graduated from an MBA program at the NYU Stern School of Business where I specialized in brand marketing and also explored sustainable business. While at NYU I was able to work as the Sustainability and Human Rights MBA Fellow at New Balance, where I explored ESG reporting initiatives for the company's global supply chain. I completed my BA from the University of Pennsylvania where I studied English Literature and developed a passion for research, reading, and writing. Some of my favorite classic novels are The Great Gatsby, Wuthering Heights, Pride and Prejudice. I am excited to help students feel confident in their ability to find credible sources, structure their thoughts and hone their written voice, and become confident communicators.Project ideas
Project ideas are meant to help inspire student thinking about their own project. Students are in the driver seat of their research and are free to use any or none of the ideas shared by their mentors.
Jane Eyre: Exploration of the class system in Victorian England
An exploration of how the novel Jane Eyre provides a lens through which to critique the class system in Victorian England. What can we learn from the themes of the novel and how has the world changed since the time of the novel? Students can turn this into a literature review, a research paper, or a creative project!
Teaching experience
I have several years of experience as a Mentor for CollegeThoughts, a provider for college prep services. In that role, I helped high school students develop their college essays, guiding them through ideation, outline, and the completion of their final essays. I enjoy helping students find their voice and feel confident in researching and writing!Credentials
