Bio

Hi, my name is Chloe and I am a recent graduate from Cornell's MBA program! My background spans business, policy, education, and literature, with experience in research, presentations, analytical writing, and creative work. I’ve applied my passion for problem solving through client-facing projects at knowledge-search firm AlphaSights, education policy research at Harvard (where I received a Masters degree), and my undergraduate degree in English and history at Cornell. Now, I am an Master of Business Administration student at Cornell’s Johnson School and a Consultant supporting clients in Tech, Media, Telecom, and M&A. Outside of work, I love to volunteer in my local community. I also enjoy hiking, tennis, skiing, and live music. I’m excited to partner with students to help turn their ideas into meaningful, well-executed projects.

Project ideas

Project ideas are meant to help inspire student thinking about their own project. Students are in the driver seat of their research and are free to use any or none of the ideas shared by their mentors.

How Small Businesses Grow: A Case Study in Strategy

Students could evaluate a small business to analyze how it has grown and what drives its success. The project may focus on areas such as market research, consumer insights, revenue trends, marketing strategy, or competitive positioning. Using credible sources (and optional interviews), students would develop evidence-based conclusions about the business’s performance and future opportunities. The final product could take the form of a research paper, consulting-style brief, or professional presentation.

Teaching experience

While an undergrad at Cornell, I spent a year assistant teaching weekly in a first grade classroom. In this role I supported students building foundational skills in a range of subjects. Additionally, I spent a semester assistant teaching four class periods of remedial english to high school students through specialized curriculum and overall support. Furthermore, after graduating from Cornell I worked with non-profit EduMate, where I tutored an elementary-aged student 1:1 and also provided mentorship to undergraduate tutors new to the education space. I additionally served on a panel for youth in foster care, providing insight into career development and post-high-school pathways, through organization Silver Linings. With the New York Junior League, I also supported small-group classes virtually during the pandemic. Presently, I am a mentor for a cohort of 5 business school students at Cornell Johnson.
