Bio

I have always been interested in medicine, I love everything I learn and find much joy in the things I continue to learn in this field. I am very much interested in Emergency Medicine, Anesthesiology and Surgery. I have done multiple research projects in each of these fields. Outside of studying and school, I love skiing and spending time with friends and family. I love traveling with my friends and just chilling.

Project ideas

Project ideas are meant to help inspire student thinking about their own project. Students are in the driver seat of their research and are free to use any or none of the ideas shared by their mentors.

Do Nutrition Labels Influence Healthy Food Choices?

The student will test whether people choose healthier foods when they see nutrition labels. This project connects obesity and diabetes with awareness and behavior around food. Working together this is a project that could result in a paper or presentation.

How does stroke prevalence vary by age, gender, and lifestyle factors such as smoking, physical activity, or diet?

The student will use existing public health datasets (such as CDC, WHO, or local health department reports) to explore how common stroke is in different population groups and what risk factors are most strongly associated. Working together this is a project that could result in a paper or presentation.

Melanoma

Do people who spend more time in the sun have better or worse awareness of melanoma and sun protection strategies? This project explores whether people who are frequently exposed to the sun (e.g., athletes, beachgoers, outdoor workers) are more informed about melanoma risk and sun safety behaviors. Working together this is a project that could result in a paper or presentation.

Teaching experience

During my undergraduate studies, I served as a tutor in neuroscience, which sparked my passion for teaching and deepened my appreciation for the complexities of the human nervous system. In medical school, I continued to build on this foundation by tutoring anatomy, where I helped classmates navigate the intricate relationships between structure and function. Over time, I expanded my teaching to encompass a broad range of foundational medical sciences, including the cardiovascular, renal, respiratory, endocrine, gastrointestinal, and immunology systems. My approach has always emphasized not just content mastery but also clinical integration and critical thinking, aiming to help students develop a comprehensive and enduring understanding of physiology and pathophysiology. These experiences have honed my ability to explain complex concepts clearly and adapt my teaching style to meet diverse learning needs.
