Bio
Hello! My name is Adoley. I am an MBA candidate at UC Berkeley Haas School of Business. In undergrad at Dartmouth, I studied Economics and did significant coursework in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. After graduation, I worked as a Deloitte consultant for 4.5 years on numerous health equity and pro bono social impact projects. I am using my time in grad school to explore my passion for sustainability, particularly in food and agriculture, and increasing access to healthy food. In my free time, I love to do HIIT, run, and travel. I've been to 28 countries across 6 continents, including 3 months of backpacking in Southeast Asia. I also love scuba diving and mountaineering. In 2021, I climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro. It’s safe to say adventure is my favorite pastime. I can’t wait to connect and learn more about you!Project ideas
Food Deserts and Health Outcomes
A food desert is defined as "A community or neighborhood with limited access to affordable, nutritious, and plentiful food." In this project we will explore the connection between living in a food desert and health outcomes. We will look at how this phenomenon affects different demographics as well as solutions utilized by community organizers and potential solutions for the future.
Organics: Healthy or Hoax?
In this project, we will analyze the use of organic labels issued by the USDA and other regulatory boards, and the standards required to receive them. We will analyze how transparent and informative these labels are for consumers and if organic foods are healthier than their non-organic counterparts. Lastly, we will explore the business of organic foods by comparing the prices to the costs of production and determine the overall pros and cons of eating organic.
