Identifying tumor antigens targets for CAR-T cell cancer therapies
CAR-T cells (chimeric antigen receptor) therapies are an exciting new tool engineering patients' own immune cells to target and kill tumor cells. CAR-T cells rely on the identification of specific tumor antigens to allow for recognition of cancer cells. This project would involve first selecting a specific tumor type to study, then identifying possible antigen targets for use in a novel CAR-T cell construct.
